The Asian American Resource Center (AARC), established in 1991, helps students develop intellectually, socially, personally, academically and politically. Central to all programs and events is the value of developing leadership that is grounded in strong communication skills, empathy, fostering collaboration, and empowering personal growth that leads to collective action towards shared goals. Working in conjunction with the Intercollegiate Department of Asian American Studies (IDAAS), the AARC creates opportunities to raise awareness of issues in the community. The AARC works in collaboration with students, staff, faculty, and partner offices on and off-campus to sponsor a wide range of educational endeavors. Through shared goals and collective action, the AARC helps strengthen The Claremont Colleges and the greater community.
